  1. Toor dal ko acche se dhokar 30 minute ke liye pani mein bhigo dein.
  2. Pressure cooker mein bhigoye hue dal, haldi powder aur 3 cup pani add karein. Dal ko 5-6 whistle tak cook karein ya jab tak dal soft na ho jaye.
  3. Ek alag pan mein tel garam karein aur usmein jeera aur sarson add karein. Jab tak beej phatne shuru na ho jaye, pyaaz aur hari mirch ko add karein aur transparent hone tak saute karein(halki aanch per bhune).
  4. Tamatar(tomato) ko barik katakar usmein add karein aur soft aur mushy hone tak saute karein.
  5. Lal mirch powder, dhaniya powder aur swad ke hisaab se namak add karein. Sab milakar kuch minutes tak saute karein.
  6. Paki huyi dal ko is masale ke saath mix karein. Agar sambar ki consistency jyada thick hai toh pani add karke adjust karein.
  7. Kuch minute ke liye sambar ko boil hone dein.
  8. Aakhir mein kata hua dhaniya patta add karein aur garam serve karein. Isko steamed rice ya idli ke saath serve kar sakte hai.
